WWE’s SMACKDOWN™ Goes Live Tuesdays on Sportsnet, Beginning July 19 TORONTO

(May 25, 2016) Anything can, and will, happen on live TV. Beginning Tuesday, July 19, WWE’s SMACKDOWN, the fan-favourite weekly show, goes live on Sportsnet 360 and moves from its current scheduled programming time on Wednesday nights to its new home on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. SMACKDOWN’s move to Tuesdays gives fans two days of can’t-miss WWE content on Sportsnet 360 to kick off the week following WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW™.

Both shows will now air live 52 weeks a year. Sportsnet 360 will also continue to deliver replays of SMACKDOWN on Friday nights at 8 p.m. ET. A staple in every WWE fans’ weekly diet, SMACKDOWN is now in its 17th year of production, delivering broadcasts from different venues around the world each week and featuring the WWE’s biggest and best Superstars. In 2014, Rogers Communications and WWE announced a historic 10-year broadcast and multimedia agreement, making Rogers the exclusive distributor of WWE’s flagship programming in Canada through 2024. The deal extends WWE’s programming on Sportsnet 360 and includes the right to distribute WWE Network as a premium linear channel and on multiple digital platforms.
