AEW gives new name to Double Or Nothing Battle Royal, revamps rules

Double Or Nothing

Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks held an Over The Budget Battle Royal at their All In event last year and they planned to hold another similar match at Double or Nothing.

However, the company has now changed the rules for this battle royal and renamed the match to Casino (Battle) Royale, as announced during the latest episode of Being The Elite.

Under the new rules, not all the participants of the bout will be in the ring from the beginning and the match will start with 5 competitors instead.

5 more wrestlers will enter the bout in the intervals of 3 minutes and the last participant who will be the 21st entry will enter alone at the very end. You can check out the rules for the Battle Royal below:

Apart from this, the latest episode of Being The Elite featured a new SCU segment, footage of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega’s confrontation during an indie show last week and more. You can check out the full episode below:

If they book this well, it will be good.

If they book it badly, it’s just going to end up basically being a slowed down version of a normal battle royal anyway.

Not to diss them, but this just sounds like a more convoluted version of the Royal Rumble.
