As noted, AJ Styles, who did not wrestle at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown TV taping, has been pulled from this weekends events. He was supposed to wrestle Roman Reigns at Friday’s event. Sheamus replaced Styles and wrestled Reigns in the main event for the WWE Title.
Styles took to Twitter to apologize for missing the events this weekend and also revealed that he is dealing with an ankle injury. He posted this:
For those of you who were expecting to see AJ Styles this weekend, I apologize. Banged my ankle up pretty good, but I'll be ready for RAW.

Styles will challenge Reigns for the WWE Title at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV.
