During a recent conference call, the member of GFW Creative Team John Gaburick revealed that Alberto Del Rio will return to the company during the Bound For Glory PPV on November 5:
“We have plans for Alberto, we’re excited that he’s gonna be coming back at Bound For Glory, We’re excited about the future for Alberto, he’s an amazing talent and as a creative group we’re really excited to come up with some real cool scenarios and stories for him in the upcoming months.”
It has previously been reported by Wrestling Observer that the original plans for Del Rio were to have a match with either Jeff Jarret or Rey Mysterio at the PPV.
However, with the negotiations between Mysterio and the company falling and Jeff going on an ‘indefinite leave’ these plans are apparently nixed.
Now it’d be interesting to see what the new GFW creative team has in store for their former World Champion upon his return.
