Alberto Del Rio on a return to the WWE: “I’m sure I’ll be back before I retire”

Former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron, known in the WWE as Alberto Del Rio, feels pretty confident about a return to the company.

In an interview with The Roman Show, El Patron discussed Rey Mysterio, who is also expected to return to the WWE soon, and that he feels he’ll be back sooner than later.

On Rey Mysterio being his ideal final opponent before he retires:

Top of my head, the first one to cross my mind is Rey Mysterio Jr. He’s one of my best friends in the business. He’s a fantastic wrestler and a real life legend. He’d be the perfect person to do a world tour to say goodbye to the pro wrestling business. Of course, there’s a lot of names of guys I’d like to wrestle again like Dolph Ziggler, Ken Anderson, and many others in the business.

On a return to the WWE:

I have a good relationship with Vince McMahon, so I’m sure I’ll be back one day before I decide to retire. I’ll go back there to have a last…final run. Maybe I’ll have the opportunity to work with all those wrestlers I used to work with when I was with [WWE]. We used to have a lot of fun.

When asked about a possibility to work with NJPW, El Patron said that the travel was too much to handle. He had missed too much family time while working with the WWE and wants to be in his kids’ lives.
