Alexa Bliss says she’s almost ready for in-ring return

Alexa Bliss hasn’t wrestled in four months, with her last match being against Ronda Rousey at WWE Hell in a Cell for the Raw Women’s Championship. After a concussion forced her to take time away from in-ring competition, she was moved to an on-screen managerial role.

Fans have been anticipating the return of the Goddess since September, and it seems we finally have some good news when it comes to Bliss’s condition. In a recent appearance at the ACE Comic Con in Phoenix, Arizona, Bliss spoke with Lilian Garcia in a Q&A session with fans.

Garcia asked how her recovery was going, and if we would see her back in action any time soon. Bliss explained that it wasn’t multiple concussions, rather one concussion that was aggravated again at a later date. As far as her in-ring return goes, Bliss said:

Well…I plan on coming back pretty soon. WWE is very careful when it comes to us with concussions and any injury. We have the best of the best taking care of us, and you have to go through concussion protocol. I’ve been doing really well. I’ve been training at the performance center, so there’s definitely hope for me getting back in the ring relatively soon.

On the first installment of her new segment “Moment of Bliss” the former champion spoke with Rousey, Bliss seemed to tease that she was ready to challenge her for the Raw Women’s Championship.

“Soon” could mean anything, really. Hopefully, though, we’ll see Alexa Bliss make a surprise appearance during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Bryan Alvarez recently said on Wrestling Observer Radio that she might make her return there, so it’s definitely possible.

If that’s the case, we may see Bliss injected back into the title scene before Ronda Rousey makes it to WrestleMania.
