Alexa Bliss Talks Her Main Roster Debut, Her Harley Quinn Outfit, Muscle and Fitness Cover

WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Competitor Alexa Bliss was recently interviewed by Cleveland.com to promote her No Mercy matchup with Becky Lynch. You can check out the highlights here:

Does being a former bodybuilder make landing on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Hers extra special?

“It was one of those things I never really did in the bodybuilder world. I was really focused on getting my pro card. I remember when I started, my coach said, “You’re either going to be really good or really bad. How serious do you want to take this?” Once I got my pro card, I started to focus on maybe doing magazine stuff. And then the opportunity with WWE presented itself. But it was one of those things that was on my bodybuilding and WWE bucket list.”

You made your WWE debut on July 26, when all the SmackDown women’s wrestlers introduced themselves. What was that like?

“That was really, really cool. It got to show there are a lot of women in this division. Sometimes on Raw and SmackDown you only see two or three women in an episode. But we’re all into it and we’re going to be the leaders o this division.”

At WWE Backlash you dressed up like Harley Quinn. Where did the idea come from?

“I am a Harley Quinn fan. I am a big fan of characters in general. When I was in NXT, we would dress up in themes like Freddy Krueger and Iron Man. [Buddy] Murphy, who wrestles in NXT, just recently dressed up as Two-Face. And I was like, man wish I could do that stuff. I really want to do a Harley Quinn inspired outfit. So he helped me come up with it.”

Harley is a villain, but a character people love. Is that a way to describe Alexa Bliss?

“I love being a villain. It’s just so much more fun. Fans like Harley Quinn. I don’t think Alexa Bliss, as a character, cares what people think.”
