An Injured Kenny Florian Forced Out Of UFC Fight Night 23

The long awaited lightweight main event bout between UFC top contenders Kenny Florian (with a 14-5 MMA and 11-4 UFC stats) and Evan Dunham (with an 11-1 MMA and 4-1 UFC stats) will no longer take place as originally scheduled.

After recieving an undisclosed injury during training for his upcoming match with Evan Dunham, Kenny Florian was forced to drop from the UFC Fight Night 23 card.

Though UFC officials have yet to announce the change in the line-up, it is currently undecided whether a replacement opponent will be found or if the original match while be pushed back to a later date, giving an injured Florian time to heal.

Plans to return to the octagon were slashed and Florian’s hopes to redeem himself after his unaninimous-decision loss to Gray Maynard at the UFC 118 event back in August. Now it looks as though Florian, once again, will have to wait a while longer before making his official comeback to the UFC.
