Another former Champion done with GFW

After the revelation that the former GFW and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus is no longer with GFW, another former champion has announced his departure from the company.

One-half of the former TNA Tag Team Champions The Wolves Davey Richards announced on twitter yesterday that he has come to terms with the company of his release.

Though unlike Magnus who refused to sign the contract offered by the officials due to the unfair terms of it, Richards revealed that he is leaving the company on good terms:

“Today I came to terms with GFW for me release, This story, however, is a happy one. I have nothing but good memories and great things to say about my time there.”

Furthermore, the former TNA Tag Team Champion stated that he is leaving wrestling to pursue a career in the medical field and become a doctor:

“Truth is- I love wrestling, But my goal is to be a Doctor. I have managed my time in doing both my school, my job as a Paramedic, being a dad, and a wrestler as best I could for as long as I could. But the demands as I head into the last couple years of Medical School have brought me to a point where I have to choose one or another. So with GFW’s blessing, I have chosen medical school.”

Considering Davey Richards’ comments about his future, it’s not very likely that we’ll see him wrestling for any other promotion in future.
