As the UFC continues to churn its roster, Lightweight Antonio McKee has been released from his UFC contract after only a single fight, a split-decision loss to the Jacob “The Obama Hunter” Volkmann at UFC 125.
His signing was a questionable move, with 18 of his 25 victories coming by way of decision. In an organization that places such a premium on exciting fights and in-the-Octagon finishes–while exciting fighters like Keith Jardine are given their papers for brawling–the logic is hard to follow.
