WWE Divas Championship Handicap Match
Natalya vs. Michelle McCool and Layla (c)
Props to LayCool because they’ve managed to play arrogant bitches so well throughout their championship reign over the past year. While some divas bolted for TNA, and others fell victim to injury, Layla and McCool held together (and unified) women’s championship wresting in the WWE.
With that said, it’s time to pass the torch to Natalya. She’s proven even in her defeats that she has the talent to be a legitimate champion. Natalya wins thanks to her talent a returning Beth Phoenix.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater (c)
I expect Marella and Kozlov to tease us here, where they almost defeat Nexus or are supposed to have beaten Nexus. A distraction from another Nexus member or a miscommunication will ultimately lead to Gabriel and Slater retaining the titles.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Kaval
Ziggler has held onto the belt for almost four months now, so it would seem that it’s the decorated indy star’s turn to make good on his NXT victory and start a memorable feud with the up-and-coming Ziggler that will last until the Royal Rumble. I’m not sure if Kaitlyn and Vickie get involved, but I’m pretty sure that Kaval takes the title away from Ziggler tonight.
WWE United States Championship Match
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Ted DiBiase
Let’s evaluate: Daniel Bryan is having a nice U.S. Championship run. Ted DiBiase wants a real title belt. Maryse is gorgeous. This all equates to, of course, a Daniel Bryan victory.
Sheamus vs. John Morrison
John Morrison says Shaymoose is a big bully. Well I say Morrison should mind his own business. Why couldn’t Kozlov stick up for his pal? If Kozlov put up a convincing program with Sheamus here, wouldn’t a Tag Team Championship match up next month against Nexus in turn seem more legitimate? It’s too bad, because Kozlov has more to give than he’s being allowed.
Oh yeah, back to this match. Morrison puts up a fight, makes Sheamus look good, but falls to pump kick and an Irish Curse. Sheamus wins and Morrison moves on, but Triple H returns for his final run in a WWE ring after the match, seeking his revenge.
Survivor Series Elimination Match
Rey Mysterio, Big Show, MVP, Kofi Kingston and Chris Masters vs. Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes and Tyler Reks
I’m a fan of elimination matches, so this should at least be an entertaining match (for me). Big Show will play a big part in this match, as will Del Rio and Mysterio. Look for Team Mysterio to take an early lead, only implode after Show is eliminated. They will make a strong comeback as Mysterio will hold down the fort towards the end of the match, and be his team’s sole survivor. In contrast, Del Rio’s team will be eliminated in an orderly fashion, but I think Del Rio will end up facing Mysterio in the end. Mysterio hits Del Rio with the 619 and gets the victory, and it’s happy times for the crowd and the WWE Universe. This happiness will set up the darkness that will follow in the main event…
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge vs. Kane (c)
Quite frankly, I don’t give a damn. Smackdown needs to shake things up, however, and I think Edge was sent to this brand just for that purpose. SPEAR! Edge wins the championship, followed by a five second pose for his Edgeheads.
WWE Championship Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. Wade Barrett (with John Cena as the special guest referee)
Should Barrett win, Cena is freed from The Nexus. Should Barrett lose, Cena is fired from WWE.
Most anticipated match/moment of the night. I’ll keep it brief with my bold prediction: Orton hits Barret with an RKO, and Cena counts, 1, 2… but stops and stands up. Orton is face to face with Cena, and they argue until a brawl ensues. Barrett sneaks up from behind and smashes Orton in the back with a steel chair. Orton walks right into an Attitude Adjustment. Barrett drops Orton into a Wasteland and covers him. 1, 2, 3. Immediately after the match, Cena drops Barrett with an AA, then locks on the STF.
AWESOME! Out comes the Miz to cash in MITB. Miz hits the Skull-Crushing Finale, and pins Barrett. Miz is the new WWE Champion, and a feud with Randy Orton begins.
