Update on why Austin Aries was released from WWE earlier today

PWTorch is reporting that Austin Aries requested his release from WWE. According to PWTorch, Aries had grown unhappy with being stuck in the Cruiserweight division and saw more potential for himself outside the role he was stuck in on 205 Live. The report also stated that Aries had a bad attitude backstage and it made it easier for WWE to grant him his release. The report also claims that Aries was working through a back injury before asking for his release. Aries will most likely hit the independent wrestling scene in the near future.

He should have been in there with guys like AJ, Joe and Owens etc, not stuck on 205 live.

Aries is closing in on 40 years old. He doesn’t have much time left in his career to play around with. And the IC title division consists of pretty much three or four guys.
