Backstage news on Braun Strowman’s injury and how long he’ll truly be out-of-action

According to a report from F4WOnline, the six-month time frame being given for Braun Strowman’s in-ring return is a work. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Strowman is expected to wrestle at SummerSlam and will most likely challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. It is expected Strowman will return in mid-July to build up the match with Lesnar.

Meltzer also believes that the WWE will swap out Lesnar’s originally planned opponent for SummerSlam, being either Roman Reigns or Finn Balor, and put him against Lesnar in the main event of Great Balls Of Fire. Last night (Mon. May 15, 2017) a Fatal Five Way match was announced for Extreme Rules between Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, and Bray Wyatt to determine who’ll challenge Lesnar next.
