Backstage news on Brock Lesnar beating Kane in less than a minute

While he did not appear at Raw last week, Brock Lesnar did show up at the weekend’s Live Event at Chicago where he faced the Big Red Monster Kane.

However, the match between these two monsters was over within a minute with Brock coming out victorious after hitting just two German Suplexes and one F5 which made many people wonder about the possible reason why their match ended so quickly.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the way things unfolded was a company directive and it was not a decision made by either of the involving wrestlers.

Even though it was a house show, the angle was part of the storyline leading to WrestleMania which is expected to see Lesnar eventually turn heel and the company hopes to turn fans against him so they can cheer Roman Reigns at the Show Of Shows.

While how effective this plan will be in the long-term would be revealed later on, it appears that it worked at the moment as a lot of people were said to be mad at Lesnar after his victory during the show.
