Backstage news on Brock Lesnar beating Kane in less than a minute

Brock Lesnar

While he did not appear at Raw last week, Brock Lesnar did show up at the weekend’s Live Event at Chicago where he faced the Big Red Monster Kane.

However, the match between these two monsters was over within a minute with Brock coming out victorious after hitting just two German Suplexes and one F5 which made many people wonder about the possible reason why their match ended so quickly.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the way things unfolded was a company directive and it was not a decision made by either of the involving wrestlers.

Even though it was a house show, the angle was part of the storyline leading to WrestleMania which is expected to see Lesnar eventually turn heel and the company hopes to turn fans against him so they can cheer Roman Reigns at the Show Of Shows.

While how effective this plan will be in the long-term would be revealed later on, it appears that it worked at the moment as a lot of people were said to be mad at Lesnar after his victory during the show.

The best way to turn Lesnar heel (which I thought he already was), is to have him savagely attack Heyman and have Reigns save him. Just a thought..

I agree I to have gotten tire of Brock Lesnar. Now I never mind him wrestling Part time. But when you are Unverlasial Champion you have got to be full time.

You can like whomever you like, but please don’t act like there is any principled reason behind the hatred of Reigns. He was beloved until Wyatt quickly eliminated Bryan at the RR.

theyll never boo brock because he went to UFC and became champion and then came back and earned the wrestling a business a level of respect it could only dream of. plus whats the fun cheering roman? like honestly lol.. hes supposedly muscle yet he covers his body, are we suppose to get excited for a spear 20 years after goldberg and romans big move which is a punch? the royal rumble before WM30 where everyone didnt want batista to win so they cheered for roman made the WWE think the fans wanted roman to win whereas they only wanted batista to lose because of what he’d been tweeting about daniel bryan. WWE took that “enemy of my enemy” cheer to mean “they want roman to be the new cena”. facepalm lol.

    He already is a heel.

But when will WWE learn that in this day and age they cannot tell people to boo heels or cheer faces?
Lesnar could kill a puppy on air and Reigns would still be the one getting booed.

It easy to see that WWE and Brock Lesnar are parting ways after WM 34. I though this last year when Brock Lesnar won the WWE Universal title that this year was going to be Lesnar last year in the WWE. I don’t think there will be another come back either because WWE got way to much talent right now and they need guys who will be there full time as there champion.

the only ones full of themselves are people like you who think they have some right to dictate to people who they should like and act like little lost sheep, you havent got German blood in you as you sound like a po xy na zi

We have a hard working Reigns doing everything he can to get over (once upon a time he was extremely over) verses Lesnar the part-time pro-wrestler who doesn’t really care about fans and is in it for the check (a real life Ric Flair of sorts). it really shouldn’t be hard to get the fans behind the “not Lesnar opponent”. But many wrestling fans are often so full of themselves they can’t even cheer for a hard working wrestler even if they can’t remember why they hate him anymore.

The fans weren’t happy in the beginning of that match. They were made much more angry by how both Lesnar and Goldberg phoned in their match.

  • Yespage

I think they mean “hated more than Reigns”, which would require something like Zeus level heel-age.

  • ROB-1.

I always thought Lesnar was a heel?

This happened at WrestleMania XX too, where fans were so mad that Brock was leaving that they booed him out of the building (and Goldberg too). I saw Brock Lesnar beat Kevin Owens in about a minute last year at a house show at Madison Square Garden and no one cared how short that was. The only difference I see between that match last year and now is that Brock is on his way out so fans are more annoyed with him. Fans did the same thing to The Rock when he was leaving too.

They need to be careful. Rushing or forcing this is going to make things worse again for Reigns. They need to do inception and let the fans think that it’s their idea and trying we’re the ones who’s like Reigns.
