Home » WWE News » Backstage News on Why CM Punk Wasn’t Buried at RAW, Why He Has Leverage Right Now

- We noted before that there was a Bad News Barrett segment considered for this past Monday’s RAW from Chicago where Barrett would have informed fans that hometown star CM Punk wasn’t there.

WWE decided not to go with this angle because Vince McMahon still does not want to bury Punk publicly. Vince still hopes that Punk will get his head on straight and come back to WWE. Punk moves a lot of merchandise and WWE wants to have some kind of relationship with him because they’ve invested a lot of time and money into Punk and his licensing.

It’s said that Punk has some leverage now because of his relationship with Vince McMahon but as Triple H gains more power, things could change for Punk as far as how easy it is for him to come back when he wants.

That would have been awesome. However I think Punk needs to return to fulfill his contract. If WWE give up on him and consider him in breech of his contract and then he wont EVER receive any royalties from his merchandise, videos and products. And that is alot of money over a lot of time span.

When you are employed somewhere and get hurt, don’t see their ” doctors” if they have one, like a unionized one. Don’t get hurt! Lol. You won’t be able to sue later on.

  • ChickenLover

    … A birth defect?

  • MrDr3w

In other news, WWE’s stock has tripled in the last year and it continues to go up.

  • Graves

Where did I say you didn’t say it? I was reinforcing your statement. Great job making yourself look dumb. LOL!

  • TheFizPop

lol Mr Obvious. Where did i say Cena is better? or Bryan is better draw? atm, Bryan is THE guy, until he wins the belt, then the parasites will claim the same BS they did about Cena and Punk during his reign. Punk was never going to be doing anything good this WM and as he wanted to main even one, with this being potentionally his last, then i don’t blame him leaving.

Fans of all fandom should learn, that their so called heroes are nothing but PR puppets, who just laugh at you all whilst taking your money. I appreciate my chosen things, but not to the point of them affecting me personally, life moves on, enjoy the times whilst they occur.

  • Graves

Punk was ten times the wrestle Cena will ever be, he was a bigger draw than Bryan and one of the few charismatic figures coupled with the talent on the roster.

  • Graves

Of course as HHH gains power Punk will be buried. ALong with guys like Bryan who aren’t jacked up retards like Bootista. It’s pretty bad that THE star of the WWE right now is gone and they’re too dumb to just give in to the fans and give US what WE want to see. And that’s not Batista. It’s Bryan or Punk or BOTH in the MAIN EVENT at Wrestlemania.

  • Shawn OB

LOOOOOL. Wm30 IS GOING TO BE boring. I don’t want to see Batista And Triple H wrestle at all, I don’t want to see em get a hernia ( or a birth defect) in the ring.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

Exactly! The irony of it is, is that they’re doing this “best for business” angle & it’s really not

  • Peter

I agree! And people say he is a cry baby for leaving but in reality he isn’t. He has said for years that we wanted change and it hasn’t happened and this could be the start of it! I can’t blame his for leaving

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

I can’t really blame punk for feeling like this, the product has really gone down the toilet over the recent months (especially with HHH throwing his weight around & Batista winning the rumble which is a prime example of that), especially with people like Ziggler & Bryan taking a back seat & being booked horribly. Wrestlemania 30 is a big deal and could have been something special, instead it’s turned into a generic mediocre ppv
