- People were saying their goodbyes to Chris Jericho over the weekend at SummerSlam and last night’s RAW. Jericho’s attitude about leaving was mostly nonchalant as he was telling people he had other goals to reach and that he would be back to WWE.

- As noted before, Jim Ross recently filmed a sitdown interview with CM Punk and Steve Austin for the WWE ’13 video game. The interview was designed to be like the Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels DVD interview from last year.

Austin and Punk talked about who would win between the two in real life and how that would play into WWE ’13. While there is a lot of respect between Austin and Punk, it’s said that they put on a lot of heat and tension for the cameras. There’s still no word yet on when or where the interview will air.

he had a great sendoff. a great match between him and Ziggler on Raw.

  • Keith Learmonth

Fozzy is only touring ’til December.

Plus 5 dates in australia, which may conflict with Raw tapings, but they can just do a pre-recorded promo to cover that.

Jericho disappoints me lately…He comes. Leaves for a few years. Comes back for a few months. Rinse and repeat. He says he wishes “people would just enjoy the ride” but it’s kind of hard to enjoy something when you have a gut feeling he’s going to be gone for a few more years in just a few months the whole time you watch him. It’s really shitty what he’s doing. If you’re going to come back, great. Come back for a good while. But don’t tease people like that. Either sing or wrestle Jericho…Pick one and stick with it.

  • No Name Required

Sounds like what HBK did in his later years, except Shawn Michaels wasn’t in a metal band.

While I would want Jericho to be a full time talent, I think his contract decisions are one of the best decisions for any talent of his experience. By taking time away to do other things, he not only gets people wanting to see him more when he comes back, but he is also potentially extending his in ring career by letting his body heal.
On top of that, it stops all the bullshit sellout chants from the peanut gallery like the Rock suffers with.
