Backstage news on plans for Bobby Roode’s next feud

Bobby Roode

It’s been almost a month since Bobby Roode made his SmackDown Live debut, but he is yet to get involved in a proper feud on the show. Though now it appears that WWE has decided who will be Roode’s first rival.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that Dolph Ziggler mocking various entrances is a set up for him to feud with the former NXT Champion leading to a match between the two.

While it’s yet to be seen how this feud will begin, Bryan speculates that Ziggler would mock Roode’s entrance, giving the former NXT Star a reason to confront the former World Champion.

It’s worth noting here that Dolph Ziggler vs Bobby Roode is currently being advertised for the upcoming Starrcade event in November so we can expect this rivalry to last for a couple of months at least.

Why couldn’t they leave Bobby Roode as a heel he was so good at it.

  • Arnold Jackson

No the word in question is young, which you said and no one else did, not 40. Just because you have an opinion of what he said, doesn’t make you right. Also just because he said something doesn’t make him right at all either.

  • CC

How is mentioning his age my interpretation? If you say something like “10 year veteran of the industry” or something like that, then maybe you could say its my interpretation, but as soon as you mention the fact a wrestler coming in is 40, you are suggesting he is too old to be considered up and coming. It’s simple logic really.

  • Arnold Jackson

Let’s be honest, that is your interpretation of what he may or may not have implied. Only he knows what he is saying and at no point did he say “young”.

  • MindTricked

Wouldn’t that be “First” feud, and not “Next”, or are we counting NXT feuds now?

  • CC

Yes, but pitfallharry is implicating that unless you are young, you cannot be up and coming. Why else would he mention Roode being 40?

  • Arnold Jackson

Actually no one said the world “young”.

  • CC

You do realise that age and time in the industry do not count if WWE are pushing them for the first time? If they are pushing him as a main eventer, then he is up and coming. At no point did the OP say “young” talent.

  • pitfallharry219

Yes, that 40 year old Bobby Roode is certainly an up and coming talent.

  • M

Poor Dolph. Always being used to legitimize up And coming talent.
