The return of Starrcade event this past weekend garnered a lot of attention on social media and it was one of the most talked Live Event of recent times.
Pwinsider reports that the idea to revive Starrcade was originally pitched by the former WWE Star and former SmackDown Head Writer Michael Hayes.
He pitched the idea back in June and it was announced several months later after the approval of Vince McMahon. The show was written by Hayes as well.
According to the site, the show was specifically written by him “with an eye on paying tribute to names who were important to the market during the Jim Crockett Promotions era and with throwback graphics for the show”
The event was considered a big success. They saw a huge response to the show on Social Media and the site notes that there are already talks of doing it again next year.
