- Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman debuted his new weekday afternoon drive time show “Coach & Company” on ESPN Audio yesterday. The show will air Monday-Friday from 4-7pm EST on traditional affiliate stations, ESPN’s Radio app, Sirius/XM channel 84, TuneIn, Slacker as well as espnradio.com. Coach commented via press release:

“To say I am excited about ‘Coach’ & Company would be an understatement, but it’s going to be about our entire team – our production team and the team of fans at home – who will all have a hand in hopefully making it a successful show. I am very serious about sports, but people can expect above all else a show that is fun. And, with my background in the WWE, I feel I can really bring an entertainment value to the show in a strong way.”

- We noted last week that before going with Team Punk vs. Team Foley as the Survivor Series main event, WWE officials were considering Ryback vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title as the main event.

As seen on last night’s RAW, WWE made some major changes and booked Team Ziggler vs. Team Foley at Survivor Series as well as the Triple Threat for the WWE Title with Ryback, Cena and Punk.

WWE reportedly changed the matches because they weren’t happy with the way the Team Punk vs. Team Foley announcement came off last week and weren’t happy with the buzz it was generating.

The buzz died down because the match revolved around Punk vs. Foley. And people liked that. Hell, I didn’t mind it. Even if it was a traditional Survivor Series match, Punk and Foley would mix it up eventually, and probably lead to a one-on-one match at TLC. Think of that, Punk knocks off Foley at TLC in some crazy match, then goes on to face Rock at the Rumble. No greater way to segue into a Rock match, then by beating Foley.

But when Foley said he wouldn’t be competing in the match, the crowd booed. They wanted to see him in it, not Ryback. And now it’s a completely different match because of the new triple threat match. They should have left it the way it was, Team Punk vs. Team Foley (with Foley competing). Whatever happens, I still hope a one-on-one Foley vs. Punk match happens at TLC.

Maybe itz cuz WWE n every body in it suck.

  • Devil_Rising

Yes………because Team Ziggler is a WAY higher profile match……

Well, I guess it made sense that they re-booked it now that Cena is cleared to compete. I will say that the card is a little more interesting with the teams being switched up, and a mystery partner. That’s always a good way to create buzz, IMO.

I think we are due to see either the Rock or Lesnar show up at Survivor Series, don’t you think? I’m not saying either of these guys should join team Foley/Orton, I just think they should be there.

I believe the main reason was the simple fact that it would have been the only big match on the PPV. They had all their top talent in one match with no WWE title on the line, so it makes sense that they changed it. Especially when you consider how SS did poorly last year, I’m sure they didn’t want to repeat that since it’s part of the Big 4 PPVs.

I feel that cm punk should not retain the title, ryback is not ready for the title yet and cena should not win it now. I think they should have ryback taken out and have him replaced. This match is very similar to how hhh vs rock vs austin was suppose to happen in 1999. I see whoever the replacement is should win the title.

  • Joe

All of the guys in it originally were opponents at HiaC the night before! How do you get excited about that?

  • evetorres_chin

it had no buzz because their teamates were predicatble as a sheamus match. They should of thrown in brock lesnar undertaker HHH even maybe the rock. Does anyone remember that one survivor series match I think it was ECW vs WWF, now that was entertainment

  • scooter

Honestly at the start of Raw where the Miz left team Punk I thought it had promise and would eventually lead to Miz vs Punk at TLC now as much as it seems obvious Miz will join team Foley it all seems a bit pointless…

  • jim

Maybe they got that from TNA also with the AJ stuff!!!!

was really hoping to see the Team Punk vs Team Foley , was hoping the rock would be a part of Team Foley. but wwe knows nothing about how to follow through with a storyline anymore.
