Home » WWE News » More Backstage Talk About Retirement for Christian, What Role WWE May Hire Him For

- As noted, Christian suffered a minor concussion on Monday’s RAW in the Fatal 4 Way with Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio. This is Christian’s second concussion within a one year period.

Even before this second concussion, there had been a lot of talk about his active in-ring career coming to an end. Talk started months ago that when Christian’s current contract expires he would probably retire because he was 40, had been getting injured and creative had no real plans for him.

Those stories of him retiring surfaced again this week with the idea that Christian would make a great NXT trainer.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about lol. Look back at how long he was champion dude, it’s hard to get “over” when you’re the champion for 1 day. CM Pink was champion for a whole year and did nothing to benefit nobody.

He was given a WHC run he didn’t deserve against Randy Orton. During this feud, he didn’t get himself over, and was “just the same Christian” we always knew. He didn’t add anything to the belt. He was worse than a paper champion, he was forgettable.

His tenure in TNA when he had the belt was another example, he was a zero-impact champion no matter what title he ever had. His team with Adam Copeland only got over because Adam had the “It Factor”, and bluntly, Christian doesn’t.

He is a perfect example of how someone without “it” can fail at something only for that one reason; Batista is an example of how someone with “it” can make a whole career and millions of bucks off it, even if he isn’t actually good at anything.

One of the greatest underutilized talent…. So sad.
