WWE told Alberto Del Rio that once he returned to the company that he would beat John Cena clean at the Hell in a Cell PPV to win the U.S Title, which he did, and that he would be given a strong push afterwards. People were, however, surprised that Del Rio was put with Zeb Colter.
After not appearing at AAA TV taping on Monday, which was later cancelled, the promotion has pulled him from all advertisements. Del Rio had told AAA that Vince McMahon said that they just had him beat Cena clean and is the U.S. champion, and he can’t lose for them.
AAA wants Del Rio to drop their Heavyweight Title and are looking to have him work their last big show of the year on December 5th to drop the title.
