Backstage WWE Money in the Bank News, Tonight’s Post-PPV RAW and More

– In a correction from last night, WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty actually lost the dark match to Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov before Money in the Bank in Chicago. The match was a non-title.

– Former WWE star Joey Mercury turns 32 years old today while Al Snow turns 48.

– Tonight’s WWE RAW takes place from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin with the fallout from Money in the Bank. It should be noted that Punk is being advertised by WWE’s website for tonight’s RAW. Advertised locally is John Cena, Big Show and Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio.

– The vibe at the WWE hotel over the weekend was described as almost a WrestleMania feel. There was a feeling among the talents after the pay-per-view last night that Money in the Bank was the show of the year so far.

not gonna lie, Punk is the only reason I watched MITB–one of the best matches I’ve seen in a long time

I have to admit, MITB DID feel like an actual PPV, and not just an extended edition of Raw. It actually was worth the money, and that was in large part because of CM Punk. If WWE doesn’t realize by now that they guy is money, and can draw, then they’re morons.

Bryan Danielson winning, better than expected match out of Big Show and Henry, and then CM Punk closing the show with a win….good times.
