Bad news for Elimination Chamber

Elimination Chamber main event

While Elimination Chamber is usually one of the most exciting PPVs on the road to WrestleMania, it appears that this year’s card for the show is not able to garner enough interest in the show.

Last week it was reported that the ticket sales for the event were not going good and it was the reason why the company added Ronda Rousey’s contract signing to the PPV.

It was believed that her appearance will help boost ticket sales for the event but apparently this math hasn’t worked that well for WWE as there are still plenty of tickets available.

While the exact numbers are not known, AXS is now offering Two for One deal on tickets for the event which makes many believe that the 18,000 seat arena is far from being sold out.

Elimination Chamber 2018 will take place on February 25th at T-Mobile Arena in Nevada. The main event of the show will see 7 men competing in a Chamber match for a shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

I feel like they should have No Way Out, and do a main event like Shinsuke and AJ vs Brock and Roman, winning team gets the actual main event slot at WM.

Reducing the year down to just PPVs would be a good way to lose a revenue stream, though.

It’s not the Chamber as much as it’s not a big PPV in that town. Backlash or whatever wouldn’t sell there either. Put that PPV in a smaller town like Baltimore and it sells out in a few hours.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

I think they should get rid of these mini PPV. The Elimination Chamber you can do at any of the 3 major PPV. Money In the Bank you can put back at the WrestleMania and Hell In The Cell you can also do on the other 3 major PPV.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

I agree with that. I just think not to many people take the Elimination Chamber to serious.

  • Arnold Jackson

Probably but that will sell out pretty much anywhere. The advantage for putting it in Vegas would be the ease of getting in and out of town.

Maybe it is something to do with the fact that WWE is currently heavily pushing 3 PPVs, and most of the emphasis is obviously on the big one. Hell, the cards for the other two PPV’s are not even complete yet.

Factor in that most people dont even think any titles will change hands on either of the minor PPV’s (and the Universal championship is not gonna be defended yet again), then you have two PPV’s which will garner very little interest

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Well I can pretty much tell you when Vegas get there new stadium it will most likely get a WrestleMania.

  • Arnold Jackson

Vargas will always get house shows, tv taping but it might get passed over for a PPV next year. We will see.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

I think they should really get rid of the two PPV leading up to WM and just build up WM for the next 2 months leading up to the big show.

Will that sucks. It’s too bad that I don’t live in Nevada. It is a bit surprising to say the least though for this being the final raw ppv before Mania.

  • Anutosh Bajpai

As of last week only 8000 tickets were sold

  • Nicholas Giambattista

I am pretty sure Las Vegas will get another WWE PPV. But even I who live in Vegas was not interested in this one. For me the WWE Universal title not to be in a Chamber match makes it no point to watch live.

  • Arnold Jackson

It’s not bad news for the chamber, it’s bad news for that venue getting another PPV.

  • Arnold Jackson

    Who are you crying about?

  • Darrin Tyler

Who cares? You think people are dumb enough to believe a fake signing is going to do it? Besides you don’t HAVE to sell out the arena. If u only get 13000 instead of 18 who is going to notice? Not the fans. And the Ronda fake signing will probably end up only 5 minutes long.

  • rob

and yet some delusional fans still believe this is a great time to be a fan LOL

  • unknown183

Good I’m Happy. I hope they wrestling in front of only 50 people if that at the show. Shows them for releasing top talent over bitter self ego issues they have over there. F U WWE.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

It because there is no title on the line in the Elimination Chamber and everybody know who is going to win. So why go watch it live when you can watch it at home.

  • Miguel Reyes

How do you get the Two for One deal?
