The closing segment of this week’s Monday Night RAW was the 70th birthday celebration for WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Every superstar had gathered to celebrate his birthday, from the likes of Shawn Michaels, Ricky Steamboat and even Sting.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon hosted the segment. When it was time for Ric Flair to make his way down to the ring, he didn’t show up. Soon after, the camera cut to backstage where we saw Batista dragging a cameraman towards Ric Flair’s locker room.
Batista then dragged Ric Flair out of his room. Turning to the camera, he asked Triple H if he had his attention now. Triple H went running up the ramp and the show closed out with a swarm of WWE officials surrounding Ric Flair. However, Batista was nowhere to be seen.
So it seems that the planned Wrestlemania 35 match between Batista and Triple H, which was teased on Smackdown 1000 is going to happen after all. The match’s status was in doubt due to Triple H suffering a torn pectoral muscle, but it looks like he will be ready by Wrestlemania.
