Why Batista Has Backstage Heat with Wrestlers Already, WWE Looks at Dean Ambrose vs. Jake

– WWE posted a Fantasy Match-Up video looking at Dean Ambrose vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts:

– We noted before that Batista made these comments in reply to a tweet from Alberto Del Rio where Del Rio mentioned Batista’s MMA debut:

“Seems 2 me that some C level stars in a B level star era have bought into their own hype. Don’t turn a work into a shoot. #realitycheck”

Batista has since deleted that tweet. His comments have been a hot topic within WWE among other wrestlers this week, with the feeling that he pretty much buried the entire locker room with one tweet. One person compared them to Triple H once saying The Undertaker was the only person worthy of wrestling him in the entire locker room.

I agree get so sick of the crybabies in wrestling sometimes. Look this is no backstage heat just some internet hype of backstage heat. How could there be backstage heat when he not even been backstage yet. I get tire of internet making something out of nothing. Look Batista was only responding of the trash talk with DelRio he said nothing about the lockeroom just to guys. Stop making something out of nothing.

Not really considering their plans for Avengers 3. They have to get Thanos established and the best way to do this is with Guardians Of The Galaxy. Marvel can’t seem to miss under Disney’s tutelage (except for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which sucks balls.)

Be a heel Batista. No Lesnar for you no.NO.

  • Yes!3X

Funny thing Batista isn’t a movie star. He’s only starred in bunch of B or C movies. Yes he has a role in Guardians of the Galaxy but from what I understand he’s far from the star of the film. And we don’t know if that movie will be a huge success. It’s a big risk on Marvel’s part. So people saying Batista is the next Rock need to wake up. It’s not the case.

  • D2K

You can even sprinkle a few other guys in there that popped in and out like Taker, Foley, Rock, and Hogan.

  • D2K

Well you can “read between the lines” and interpret anything anyone says any way you want. Had he of just made this statement out of the blue then maybe I could agree with you, however he made this statement as a DIRECT response to ADR calling him out. As far as I know Batista has never said as much as boo about ADR publicly anyway. So I can’t see any other reason to suggest that this was a shot at ADR and no one else.

The problem with insults is that there is often a chance for collateral damage. I tend to agree somewhat with that statement. This is the beginning of a new era and just like Federation Era guys helped put over the New Generation guys, the New Generation guys helped put over the Attitude Era guys. the Attitude era guys helped put over the Ruthless Aggression era guys, and the Ruthless Aggression era guys helped put over the PG era guys, the PG era guys will be there to put over this new generation. There is a lot of young talent in WWE, but unproven talent.

However I feel that if people in the back are sitting around concerned about what Batista said in a tweet, then he is absolutely correct. If you want to be a legend in this sport you got to have a thicker skin than that and stay focused on YOUR career.

  • JohnCena33

Post of the year, by far. Completely agree and completely true.

  • JohnCena33

The funny thing is Batista was and is right. He had Angle, Eddie, Cena, Edge, Orton, Taker, HBK, HHH, today there is no one.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

while i would agree, i wouldn’t exactly use Del Rio as an example. I’ve seen jobbers/lower card wrestlers put on better matches than Batista

  • Kristopher Robinson

True, but Austin said something similar to CM Punk. And it’s true. I the to compare it to the attitude era or the ruthless aggression era, but sometimes you must. Other than Punk, Cena and a few others, nobody pushes or carries themselves like thy did back then, this generation has no heart IMO. I understand that they are all doing what they’re told, but Chris Benoit said it the best, “Why do something you love, if you hate going to work everyday?” Guys like Ziggler are a rare breed, if he is held down, then IMO quit and go somewhere were you will enjoy yourself and get to show your abilities to people who want to it. I do believe this is a B-C level generation, bc it seems like everybody is just there for a pay check.

  • Vide

Am I the only one finding it funny that Batista is calling ADR “C level talent”. See this is what happens when ppl are pushed for their looks and not for their talent, it starts to get to their head. Batista is in no way in any shape or form as talented as ADR in the ring and should know his place.

  • CC

The problem is though, he didnt just take a stab at Del Rio, he took a stab at the whole roster. The C level star was obviously aimed at him, but he then follows it up by suggesting everyone else on the current roster is B level. And if you read between the lines, he is obviously saying that his era was A level. I wouldnt even class Batista as Z level.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

“we??” I couldn’t give a crap whether he comes back or not, i was more excited to see Jake Roberts back over all the Craptista hype

  • Kristopher Robinson

O yea, I 100% agree. Who’s to say that Batista ment it in such a harsh way that these “heated” talents are thinking he ment it. Especially since Batista is more from a generation that liked to show more real emotions.

  • rocco

    waiting around… yea…

defiantly not waiting on the old man to return sorry

  • Trick Daddy

You know the state of wrestling is sad when we are all waiting for Batista’s return to liven things up a bit. He’s arguably the least impressive component of Evolution. I guess Triple H never stops giving his buddies “the rub”.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

Yeahhh because Batista is SO special…. Overrated roided up douche more like

  • D2K

Well if that is the case then it seems like Batista’s comment was a direct retaliation against what ADR said and should not be looked at as anything other than that. I mean, while I wouldn’t have chosen those words, the guy has a right to respond when someone insults him. You know?

  • Kristopher Robinson

He put his MMA career down, something along the lines of how his opponent was not a challenge for anyone. You could probably find it on a separate post a few pages back.

  • D2K

What exactly did ADR say about Batista in his tweet?
