Batista was recently spotted hanging out with a fellow former WWE champion at the Alamo City Comic Con.
The 48-year-old was at the event with former WWE champion and veteran Luchador Rey Mysterio Jr.

Rey Mysterio presently competes on the independent professional wrestling circuit, wrestling several matches in Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA), Lucha Underground (LU) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) to name a few.
Additionally, the former WWE mainstay who’s now training his son for a career in the sport of pro-wrestling can be seen posting updates about the same on social media.
Besides, as regards Batista, ‘Big Dave’ is currently busy with his Hollywood obligations, starring in the multi-million dollar grossing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as Drax the Destroyer, besides several other roles on his plate.
On multiple occasions, Batista has stated his intentions to make appearances for WWE, albeit ones that aren’t televised, but merely aimed at promoting the WWE brand.
Truth be told- looking at the Batista pic posted above really takes a fan years back, doesn’t it?
Batista and Rey Mysterio carved their own niche in the WWE and will forever be remembered as key players in the promotion’s history, in the Ruthless Aggression Era in particular.
As for a potential WWE return for the duo, this is after all professional wrestling and with the WWE- You must never say never!
