Batista Reportedly Taking Some Time Off After WWE’s Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View

– Batista is apparently taking some time off after WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view as he is not currently being advertised for any WWE events after that show, including RAW the next night from Albany, NY. He is also not advertised for the big European tour that kicks off in May.

It was reported back when Batista signed with WWE that he was expected to take some time off to do promotional work for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy but that movie doesn’t open until August 1st.

But…at least Lesnar is a good wrestler.

  • LoganSR71

Worked 6 weeks and gets that WM paycheck, must be nice.

at least when Brock has match he has some good matches so I won’t complain

  • just like Lesnar, he was only ever in it for $$$$, and that’s the only reason he came back.

  • listen jack, being a “wrestling fan” doesn’t imply that you eat whatever WWE shoves down your throat and tells you to like. I’m willing to be I’ve been a fan of pro wrestling MUCH longer than you have, and I hated Batista coming back, hated him just being handed the top spot at WM even more. It was only the fan reaction that even CAUSED Bryan to get the main event and win the title in the first place, otherwise WWE wouldn’t have done it. So that was a GOOD thing. And FYI, I’ve never liked Batista. He, Cena, Orton, Lashley, Sheamus, even Lesnar, are what is wrong with WWE. Big, boring, hand-picked “HHH guys”, which is just an extension of Vince guys of old.

And guess what? I’m not “band wagon fan”. I was the biggest WWF/E fan you’d ever seen, for years. I simply fell out of love with their product in the last 5+ years, because it’s progressively gotten worse and worse over time. If me lot liking to watch boring, uninspired sh*t, that USED to be great, but now is painful to sit and watch, is being a “bandwagon fan”? I’m not really sure you know what that term means. Cheers.

  • that “original plan” sounds god damn awful, so let’s hope he IS taking time off.

  • yes it is, crappy.

grammar and punctuation are his signature and finishing move if he was a wrester! He loves HhH so he’s a sure fire main eventer for life!

Really!I’m not interested in Batista but I’m not going to complain about seeing him wrestle. Clearly the fans hate him because he doesn’t look like the Batista of old. I think the fans jeer him because he looks older so I’m not complaining, his wrestling is the same.

    and punctuation.

Batista has no respect or love for the business (he’s even trashed it multiple times in interviews) and he has no place in the WWE and the only reason he is back is down to HHH. Hell he even flipped off the fans after winning the rumbleā€¦ i mean really??

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Well said John well said. I am with you 100% on the hate or love guys on the internet. Also of those fans really what I like to call cry babies of wrestling. It don’t bother me either if Batista want to take some time off I cool. Most of these people on the internet really have no idea the hours time and work it takes to be a Pro Wrestler I know I don’t know. Batista has done pretty well since be been back yeah he came back as a quick face but turn heel which is where he should stay. Just not a good face but I like a good heel makes the show more interesting. I never though the whole time Batista been back that we was going to be champion just putting people over. Yes he won the Rumble but that was all part of the Bryan storyline never was going to be champion.

WTF did that say? Use grammar, kid!

  • Yo

I doubt he will be taking time off after Extreme Rules cuz I’m pretty sure the original plan was for him to be champion at wrestlemaniain his time off was probably worked out before then so if they planned for him to be championis not likely that he taking time off this soon

  • JC Bolden

I’m glad big Dave is back they needed someone with some attitude. He was gold as a heel before he left and pretty much picked up where he left off. Won(t be popular but I was happier to see him than I was when everyone’s hero came back and won the title. But im sure that guy wasn’t in it for the money or himself

  • Jeff Wurtz

Yeah he worked for 6 weeks we better give him some time off

  • john

we?WE?sorry but do not put me with you,i am or was a wrestling fan not an internet hate a guy or love a guy fan,Batista is not all that bad,i like the guy i think he is what WWE needed honestly, and just like NOBODY CARED ABOUT WARRIOR next day he died then everyone and there mamma even the trolls said they was sad.Point is the people that hate him are what i would call bandwagon fans..ones that only love when winning in this case ones that follows others

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

Who cares? I think the reception he got back in January for winning the rumble was enough to prove how little we care about his return, he’s clearly only here for the money
