Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey was planned to go on last at Survivor Series

In an unfortunate turn of events, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was deemed unfit to compete at the upcoming Survivor Series due to a concussion and a broken face at the hands of Nia Jax during the blue brand’s invasion of RAW.

Instead, Charlotte Flair will lace up her boots to step into the ring and face RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at the event. The feud between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey gained significant steam despite the two stars’ limited on-screen interaction. The duo traded insults on social media, each more vicious than the previous one and soon this became one of the matches to see at the pay-per-view.

The hype reached to a limit where according to John Pollock of POST Wrestling’s sources, the match was supposed to main event at the Staples Center.

While the duo may have missed out a chance to close out the show in this instance, they can still make amends by main eventing at the Grandest Stage Of Them All next year.
