Belding Turns Down WWE?, Backstage News on Tensai, Titus

– WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil is participating in a charity celebrity golf tournament in Tampa Bay today.

– Actor Dennis “Mr. Belding” Haskins spoke with about his independent wrestling work and says he turned down a deal from WWE. He said:

“I’m friends with Mike ‘The Miz’ from WWE and his friend Zack Ryder, who also is in WWE. I was talking with the WWE about a role. But, I didn’t really want to be on the road five days a week. I’m an actor first.”

– We noted before that Vince McMahon has reportedly soured on the Brodus Clay character and gimmick changes may be coming for the big man. The same thing is being said about Tensai. WWE officials had big hopes for Tensai when he returned to WWE earlier this year but plans for his push have been nixed.

dont think belding gets it, dont think they would want him for house shows etc,

  • Devil_Rising

Gee, maybe if you had just brought him back as A-TRAIN, as fans remembered him, and not a fake “Japanese” guy who they ALL knew was really Albert, then there wouldn’t have been an issue.

  • pulgeezy

I don’t know if earthquake or typhoon would want that happening. the natural disasters thing I mean

  • zach

i doubt the belding thing, in jericho’s book he sounds like a male ring rat

  • Pig

Brodus Clay reminds me of a modern day One Man Gang for some reason??

  • LighTsouT

Tag team them like the old Earthquake and Typhoon tag team from back in the day. WWE seriously needs to make a push on its tag team division and this would help. Need a new demolition and LoD rivalry. too bad WWE is more concerned about being kid friendly that bringing the WWE back into what it used to be.

The sheer lack of accountability and acceptance of responsibility by the McMahon regime never ceases to amaze me. Every mistake HE makes is always someone else’s fault. :/

  • chronoxiong

Lol….Vince never seems to surprise me anymore. He thinks these big guys will be over with the crowd after having no build?

  • yea change his character cause the funk his not working for him and prince albert A train or tensai or what ever you want to call him he;s not not bad in the ring if they are not working then turn clay heel and team them up cause wwe need more tag team’s

  • Joe John

Go with Matt Striker’s idea, Brodus & Tenis, Natural Disasters.

  • Logan

The Funkasaurus is just a modern day Flash Funk, it was cool for awhile but getting old. I would like him to do the monster heel thing or make him someones bodyguard like Del Rio or Ziggler.

  • The Killswitch

At least Brodus gets a good pop.

  • Zedd

I had high hopes for Tensai, He was amazing in New Japan. since they are rebuilding the Tag Division they should just hire Karl Anderson and reform Bad Intentions.

  • me

nobody else had high hopes for Albert, I said to my friend as soon as he cam eback and beat Cena on his first night back “he will be jobbing in a couple months” and what do you know.

as for Brodus, I haven’t cared for his “gimmick” at any point, he gets zero mic time, dances like a goof, and has squash matches 90% of the time, how is that interesting?

  • my_op

i agree they could be done correctly that is me a beastly tag team

  • Omar

Why?! Why did they have high hopes for Tensai character in the first place?

  • Shawn

My thoughts exactly. They would absolutely dominate the tag division and bring meaning to the titles.

  • Stevie P

You can hate on the Funkasaurus gimmick but at least it was a gimmick. There are so many bland wrestlers out there. What are you gonna make Brodus? Some big monster guy for Cena and Sheamus to beat everyday? Never seen that before.

  • Stumpy

Just keep the Funkadactyls somehow. Well Cameron anyway… Naomi needs to be in the ring wrestling not dancing.

  • k91xxx

Make them in to a tag team & have them feud with team hell no

  • rko

I don’t blame Vince. The funkasaurus reminds me of a stale 80’s gimmick.

  • Paton

that’s surprising considering he was squashed in 2 minutes by Cesaro

  • rob

    oh, i’m suprised..
