Betting odds change for the Royal Rumble yet again

Last week, a surprise contender shot through the betting odds, leaving a lot of people questioning whether or not we’d see a huge return at the Royal Rumble. On January 18, Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan found himself in the top five, along with Shinsuke Nakamura, Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler and John Cena.

However, as of today, the favorites have been moved around again. According to Oddschecker, Roman Reigns leads the pack at 3/1 odds, followed by Shinsuke Nakamura at 7/2 and John Cena at 8/1. Braun Strowman and Finn Balor round out the top five at 10/1 and 14/1 respectively.

Roman is a strange choice for a Rumble winner. Not because WWE wouldn’t put him in the spot, or because he isn’t fighting Lesnar at Mania (as far as we’re all aware, that is still the plan) but because the Royal Rumble takes place in Philly again.

Would WWE book Reigns to win in the same arena that booed him and the Rock out of the building three years ago?
