Big Cass returning to Smackdown Live events

Big Cass was rumored to have re-injured his leg during a house show in Germany last week. Footage of the event showed Cass having difficulty walking and/or getting up during his match.

He would show up on Smackdown on Tuesday on crutches, prompting some to wonder if he might have to have more work done on his previously injured leg. However, according to PWInsider, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

The news site has stated that Cass will begin traveling with the Smackdown brand again this week. Cass was pulled from his MITB match on last week’s episode of Smackdown Live, prompting Samoa Joe’s qualifying match to be pushed to this week. Joe will take on Daniel Bryan, who defeated Jeff Hardy last week for the chance.

It’s possible that the injury has all been a work, giving Cass a reason to take out Daniel Bryan again. So it seems that we will be continuing the Cass-Bryan storyline, at least through Money in the Bank.
