Big Day For WWE Talent, Dana White-Vince, Ratings Race, More

— Today was a huge day for WWE’s lower-card talent because they found out who is in the upcoming Smackdown vs. RAW 2010 video game. This is huge because of the size of the royalty checks the wrestlers get from the game.

–ESPN was #1 in the cable ratings race last week with a 2.8 prime time average. USA was in #2 with a 2.5 average, SyFy was at #15 with a 1.0 and Spike was #25 with a 0.7. RAW’s two hours were the #7 and #9 shows of the week, with Saturday night’s College football game coming in at #1 with a 7.4 rating. Neither hour of RAW cracked the top ten in the 18-34 demographic, but much like last week it remained on the charts for the 34+ age group, ranked at #6 and #7.

— The Dallas Morning News ran a negative piece on UFC today, which compared company president Dana White to Vince McMahon. Reporter Tim Colwishaw wrote that much like McMahon, he feels White’s interviews are more entertaining than the sport he produces.

— From the ‘Where are they now’ file: Brian Kendrick will be wrestling for PWG on October 2nd in Reseda, CA at American Legion Post 308.

— Linda McMahon was the #1 search on Yahoo and the #3 search on Google earlier today.
