Bobby Lashley’s Next Mixed Martial Arts Fight Revealed

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker told MMAjunkie that Josh Thompson (20-14 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) has agreed to fight TNA star Bobby Lashley (13-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) at Bellator 145.

 


 

Bobby Lashley (13-2) is currently on a six-fight winning streak. In his last six bouts, he beat Kevin Asplund in June of 2013 by second-round keylock, then Matt Larson in June of 2013 by first-round rear naked choke and then beat Tony Melton in November of 2013 by unanimous decision. He made his Bellator MMA debut at the 123 event in September of 2014 against Josh Burns, which he won by second-round rear-naked choke. He then beat Karl Etherington at Bellator 130 by first-round TKO. He finished Dan Charles in the second round of their fight at Bellator 138 by TKO.

Thompson hasn’t fought since the summer of 2014.

Bellator 145 takes place on November 6th event at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

  • Champ Patricio Freire vs. Daniel Straus – for featherweight title
  • Champ Will Brooks vs. Marcin Held – for lightweight title
  • Michael Chandler vs. TBA
  • Bobby Lashley vs. James Thompson
  • Pat Curran vs. Justin Lawrence
