Breaking: Seth Rollins Possibly Re-Injured Knee on RAW, Samoa Joe Responds

The WWE is reporting that former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins may have re-injured his right knee during Monday Night RAW’s closing segment in which he was attacked by Samoa Joe. The WWE stated that Rollins will be evaluated this week:

“Seth Rollins’ right knee was re-injured during Samoa Joe’s ambush at the conclusion of this Monday’s Raw, WWE.com can now confirm. The attack occurred as Rollins was heading to the ring to finally confront Triple H, who cost The Architect a WWE Universal Championship opportunity back in August.”

Rollins tore his ACL, MCL, and medical meniscus in his right knee during a match with Kane at a WWE Live Event in November of 2015, forcing hip to miss 6 months of action and vacate his then-WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Samoa Joe took to Twitter to post the following regarding Rollins’ injury:

Update #1: PWInsider is reporting that Rollins’ injury is not storyline related, and he is currently in Birmingham, Alabama to get his knee examined. If Rollins’ knee is in fact re-injured then he will most likely be removed from his scheduled match with Triple H at Wrestlemania in Orlando this April.

everyone knows Joe takes his opponent down with his finisher but your refresh at 3:21, why is Rollins facing him before the pull down by Joe? That’s on Rollins not Joe and that move is a sleeper hold variation. Not on Joe for Rollins injury.

  • nick-hulk

I love how everyone call Rollins wreckless, Joe dangerous and nobody mentions how Nakamura shattered Aries eye socket & broke Joe’s jaw in a matter of weeks

  • CC

I very much doubt its Joes fault. Too many people willing to start labelling guys as risky or career killers when in reality its just all part of the game.
No different to the accusations levelled against Rollins himself

  • Nicholas2778

I hope Seth Rollins injury is not real bad because that would not be a good sign for Seth Rollins long term.

  • Kristopher Robinson

    What about Sting….

  • Kristopher Robinson

That’s what I was thinking as well.

  • M

I don’t blame Joe for Kidd and possibly Rollins, and I don’t blame Rollins for Sting and Bálor. Unfortunately S!&t happens.

  • nick-hulk

I believe he already had an injury hence the storyline removal from Rumble, unfortunately its worse than expected

  • Brad Grillakis

That’s like putting blame on styles and his style clash on elseworth and elseworth injurying his neck b/c elseworth did not take that move properly. I am not sure when he hurt his knee, maybe thrown against the barricade, but how is that Joe fault?

  • MrDr3w

And everybody was calling Rollins a liability in the ring… Rollins never single-handedly ended someone’s career. Joe has already ended one, and now possibly two.

  • Killswitch

God, that sucks. Hoping this isn’t a serious incident.

  • Jolly Green Giant

    Just horrible…
