WWE’s SmackDown LIVE will be moving to Friday nights on the FOX Network beginning in October of this year.
Today’s NASCAR Race was broadcast on the FOX Network, WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio was actually in attendance today and drove the pace car kicking off the race. During the broadcast, Smackdown Live was mentioned when they were talking about shows that will move to Friday night on the FOX Network.
It was also mentioned that Brock Lesnar would be appearing on the broadcasts beginning in October.
This is certainly interesting for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Brock Lesnar has not been featured in any promotional material for this year’s SummerSlam PPV. Secondly, many believed Brock Lesnar would not even be working with WWE around that time so that he could return to UFC.
There is always the possibility that WWE is just feeding Lesnar’s name to FOX for promotional purpose now gain more interest for the show in October.
It is also to be noted that Lesnar most likely will not be a champion if he does jump from RAW to Smackdown. So we will have to wait until then.
@WrestlingInc Fox was promoting Smackdown before the Nascar race. They mentioned Brock Lesnar to be seen on Smackdown starting October 2019. Possible the WWE is just using his name to bring interest to their product. Interesting to see if he stick around or appears on #SDLive
