Brock Lesnar Handed Suspension and Fine for UFC 200 Failed Drug Test

We’ve been waiting a lengthy amount of time to hear about Brock Lesnar’s punishment from his failed UFC 200 drug tests. Lesnar defeated his opponent, Mark Hunt, in the co-main event of UFC 200 earlier this summer by unanimous decision, however, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) flagged Lesnar for several failed drug tests.

Now ESPN’s Brett Okamoto is reporting that the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has handed Lesnar a 1 year suspension and a $250,000 fine. In addition Lesnar’s win over Hunt will be changed to a No Contest:

They can take away his license so that he wouldn’t be able to fight for any MMA fed in Nevada.

The Nevada Commission has no authority over the WWE.

What’s the Nevada Commission going to do if Lesnar refuses to pay the fine? Lesnar’s not fighting against in the UFC, so what does he care about a suspension or fine?

  • D2K

Lesnar being on the card of UFC 200 was just a money grab for Dana White and Vince McMahon. White used it to get over the PPV, and McMahon used it for advertising for SummerSlam. They both knew Lesnar was dirty and whatever potential fine he would receive was probably already calculated into his payout. That’s why nobody is trippn’ about it.

Lesnar is exempt from WWE’s Wellness Policy.

    No, just UFC.
