- Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times has confirmed that the UFC is in contract talks with Brock Lesnar.

Some have speculated that Lesnar and his management continue to use both the UFC and WWE against each other to drive up his contract demands.

Pugmire tweeted:

“@danawhite told me last week he was "talking" to @DCBROCKLESNAR but wouldn't announce anything until a signing.”

K you stupid moron, give me one case in the history off MMA where a fighter was killed by being punche to hard while having diverticulitis and then send me the copy of his contract and where it states he can’t negotiate with other companies?! Since you are such a “know it all”, you have zero evidence to back up a single thing your saying and yet I have shown you proof, from a medical doctor that states this disease can be treated and no in no way shape or form does it state anything about if a guy is punched he will die…. Don’t worry I’ll wait….

  • D2K

No wrestler in WWE history has ever signed a contract in which he can negotiate with a competing body while under contract. The only case that comes close is Bret Hart and that was only because Vince allowed him to because he could not live up to the contract that Bret signed with was a 20 million dollar contract for 20 years. So in effect the WWF breached the contract and Bret was free to negotiate as he saw fit. As I stated before, Brock cloud not negotiate with WWE while under UFC contract and vice versa. Brock has had ‘several’ surgeries. Nothing he nor any amount of money he has made has “fixed” anything.

You have been made a complete fool of by, me, everyone else, and most importantly and tragically, yourself. You have completely lost your mind and are not worth talking to any further.

  • JohnCena33

So many run on sentences, I barely can understand what you wrote. By the way, ” pennies” is just an expression to making less. But in his WWE carreer Brock will have made over 20 million dollars. In MMA, 10 million, so doubling his earnings to me is ” pennies”

  • Kristopher Robinson

You really don’t think that the WWE is a year around almost 24.7 training basis?! in the UFC you get time off between fights and PPV. 2 million a year for lets say; his first fight which he destroyed the guy first round, so less than 5 minutes; plus PPV buys, plus contract money, plus win bonus, plus sponsors=less than 5 minutes. Second fight, loss to Mir, PPV buys, Contract money, sponsors, n o win bonus=less than 5 minutes. Title fight against Couture, contract m money, PPV buys, Sponsors, Win bonus, raise since he’s a title holder= 2 rounds (less than 10 minutes). Mir again, contract money, PPV buys, sponsors, Win Bonus= Less than 5 minutes. Shane Carwin, PPV buys, contract money, sponsors, Win Bonus, I think submission of the night bonus= 2 rounds (less than 10 minutes). Cain Velasquez, PPV buys, sponsors, no win bonus. Alistair Overreem, contract money, PPV buys, Contract money, sponsors, no win bonus= 2 rounds? (less than 10 minutes. So he started in the UFC in 2007, to fight 2 times a year, with time off in between fights, lost and became the #1 contender, won the UFC HWC, successful ling defended it twice, created more of a buzz in the HW division on almost ever, Dave Meltzer and the UFC reported him at about $400,000 for pretty much every fight which comes to $2.4 million on just his contractual obligations alone, not including said; Sponsors, Bonuses and PPV buys. So I will not say he is making less in the WWE, but to say he is make “pennies” compared to WWE, is an idiotic statement.

  • D2K

Just like the “multiple sources” that said Jerry Lawler was hospitalized with heart problems.

    o_O…..

And the highest bidder ‘IS’ WWE genius. YOU don’t know Brock’s history or have chosen to ignore the fact that he could DIE from fighting in the UFC with his Diverticulitis. It’s obvious that you don’t like Brock but even if he were a douche bag, he is a douche bag with a wife and children and they are the reason why he decided before he even stepped in the ring with Overeem to retire. After getting kicked in the gut that put the final stamp on it.

The only thing “idiotic” around here is you desperately trying to hold on to a epic failure of a statement that everyone in this thread has ripped to shreds. So what you don’t like Brock. Who cares? I know I don’t. Can’t speak for anyone else. What does that have to do with the facts that he cannot negotiate with another company because all WWE contracts have a ‘no-complete’ clause in them and if he does he can he sued by World Wrestling Entertainment for breach of contract, the fact that he makes far more money in WWE doing far less work, and the fact that he could easily die from competitive mixed-martial arts. Even after his contract ends he still has to wait a certain period of time in order to negotiate with another company.

I guess there is something wrong with wanting to make as much money as you can so that you can take care of your family. I guess there is something wrong with controlling your own destiny rather than let people like you tell Brock what he is or is not supposed to do with his life. I forget that. I guess if he gets killed in the ring you’ll be there to pay his bills and take care of his family right?

You really need to grow up. Dead serious.

  • D2K

He doesn’t have to deny it. It’s not his responsibility to go around proving someone else is a liar. If I made a post saying that you robbed a bank and had absolutely no proof, it was not logical in any way for you to do it, and you had an alibi, would you need to make a post denying it? No.

  • JohnCena33

Dana is like Vince, he will do anything to gain attention. The top UFC PPV buys all featured Brock Lesnar, every UFC PPV i bought ( only three ) all had Brock Lesnar in them, the dude draws big, so I can definitely see why Dana would do this.

  • JohnCena33

Why am I dumb? Explain your reasoning instead of reverting to name calling.

  • The Killswitch

Explain why you think he’s incorrect. It’s more effective than simply calling someone dumb.

  • Kristopher Robinson

*SMH* you are so dumb lol

  • JohnCena33

Brock made 2.8 million dollars in the UFC officially, any number that you put out for his take home portion of the PPV buys are unofficial so no need to present me with blatantly false information just to try to support your incorrect claims. Assuming he makes one dollar off of each PPV buy, that still is only about 6.5 million dollars. So he made a total a little over 9 million over five years of yearly training. That means he only made two million per year in the UFC. In the WWE he is making well over five million per year for the next two years.

  • Kristopher Robinson

Especially since Anderson is probably done and GSP is boring in every fight he has done lately. As much as I don’t like Lesnar, he have the UFC a huge fan base and buzz around the sport. Just sucks the guy couldn’t fight or else he would have been close to unstoppable.

  • Kristopher Robinson

True, but who has denied it?! Lesnar hasn’t denied it and Dana never answers direct questions like this.

  • Kristopher Robinson

Do you even pay attention to MMA/UFC?!?! Lesnar made $3.4million for UFC 100 alone.. And the guy fought 7-8 times for the UFC, Lesnar and GSP get portions of the ppv buys for there fights. Do the math bro. The guy fought a total of about 70-80 minutes in the octagon, to say he made “pennies” is an extreme understatement.

  • Shawn OB

Brock wants to be in a Twilight movie.

  • Kristopher Robinson

The fact that that’s your come back, makes you look like more of an idiot.

  • D2K

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Dana White himself who started that rumor. The UFC hasn’t been pulling in cash and ratings like it was when Brock was there. Brock was the only heavyweight people cared to see and when heavyweight division brings people in, everyone gets paid. Mike Tyson made a good comment about how in boxing the money isn’t there because the heavyweight division is so bad. When the heavyweight division is good, everyone makes money on the under-card as well. Doesn’t work out that way with lower weight class main events.

  • JohnCena33

exactly, Compared to his WWE contract, Brock makes pennies in the UFC.

  • JohnCena33

Great post, Brock has a chance of dying if he takes a punch to the abdomen hard enough, toxins would release and he would pass, no way would he take a risk to go back ti the UFC,.

  • D2K

Precisly. He wasn’t exactly ‘stellar’ in his last three fights either. He barely beat Shane Carwin (ref should have stopped it in the first round,) he got beat by the much smaller Cain Velazquez (how got knocked out in his very next fight,) and looked weak against Alistair Overeem after getting kicked in the gut (which is exactly where he cannot afford to be kicked.)

There is no reason for Brock Lesnar to go to the UFC at all. The guy got paid more for one year of 10 appearances in WWE than his entire tenure in the UFC. Seriously, 5 million for one year and a 3-year deal worth 3 mil a year and he gets to come and go as he pleases? Gimme a break. I will go on record to be the first to call him the greatest moron since Lucifer if he walks away from that.

  • JohnCena33

    My IQ is 133.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

D2K this is why I stay off the dirt sheet as much as I can. You can’t believe everything you read on the internet until Brock Lasner shows up in UFC he is not going back to UFC. He is in WWE right now probably will be there for the rest of his career simple because as of right now this is all he can do still make money and still take the time off he wants to stay at home. I don’t see him going back to UFC period.

  • Kristopher Robinson

    You’re an idiot.

  • D2K

This is why people need to get the facts BEFORE jumping to conclusions. Not one single person involved has confirmed any of this. Not Dana White, not Brock Lesnar, not his agent pr representative, and not WWE. Brock Lesnar is under a multi-year WWE contract, is in line for a title shot, and tentatively booked from Wrestlemania. Brock Lesnar also has a serious medical condition known as Diverticulitis which if aggravated again could mean serious complications that could prove fatal.

The only “douche-bags” around here are people that go around spouting off rumor as fact and those who are stupid enough to believe it. If Jerry Lawler’s situation last night was not enough to show how some goof can say anything juicy and people believe it as fact I don’t know what else to say.

  • JohnCena33

You just described The Rock perfectly.

  • Kristopher Robinson

This is why Brock Lesnar is a super douche, this guy has no respect for the business and doesn’t deserve what he is being given.
