Brock Lesnar speculated to meet with the top officials ahead of Summerslam

Brock Lesnar’s title run with the Universal Championship has not been a smooth journey with the 41-year-old defending the title on very limited occasions. While this has not pleased the fans, Lesnar’s future with the company has been a puzzle with his appearances for the UFC by the side.

Ahead of his Universal title defence against Roman Reigns at Summerslam, reports suggest that the “Beast Incarnate” is scheduled for a meeting with the higher authorities just hours before the event.

“Apparently Sunday around 4 o’clock, Brock Lesnar will have a closed-door meeting with the head honchos, maybe Stephanie, Triple H, Vince, or whatever, I don’t know what that meeting’s about. But, if he retains the title you can expect Brock Lesnar will be working for both WWE and UFC.”

“He is having and I’ve been told this by three sources, he’s having a closed-door meeting with the head honchos of WWE hours before his matchup with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.”

The meeting could leave a huge impact on the ending of the pay-per-view as well as the future of Brock Lesnar with the company.

That’s because only a few guys have actually held the title before Lesnar. The title is NULL and void with little meaning. Once it gets started up again with actual TALENT, we may see that “Finn vs whomever rematch”.

  • Steven Stevens

If only the same standard applied to everyone in news.

  • Greg Bush

Lol. It’s the unwritten rule of that belt. You lose it, you go to the back of the line.

  • Steve Miller

Can someone answer me this, whatever happened to defending the title at least once a month?
Way back when if “a” title wasn’t defended at least once a month, they would strip the belt holder of the title?

  • Tony Schwaerzler

This is what happened the last time his contract was supposed to be up. They better not screw Reigns with a phantom cash-in by Stroman or Owens or have Lesnar win again. It is time for him to go and it is time for RR to wear it for a bit. Damn WWE if they do it to all of us again…

  • Mike the Ike

No one who has ever dropped the Universal title has gotten a rematch.

  • Soulshroude

Lesnar jobbed to Eddie Guerrero, so yes… I can see this happening, again.

  • Soulshroude

He still has his “rematch” clause. So this supposed “meeting” could be about the “when and where”.

  • Vincent Dale

Who’s the source? You’ve not names anyone. According to what reports? Do you want a journalism lesson?

  • Darrin Tyler

I’ll probably stop watching it if he wins again.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Why I do see Brock Lesnar losing the title Sunday. I don’t think it the last we see of him in the WWE. I believe he is going to do both WWE and UFC.

Why do I smell a Bash at the Beach scenario, except a total shoot, where Lesnar will not comply to what WWE wants as far as selling, not being overly aggressive, etc? Because if this is Lesnar’s last match, WWE is going to want Roman to go over strong, maybe on the level of when Goldberg beat Lesnar a few years ago. Lesnar probably won’t want that. Even if Lesnar is staying, WWE will probably STILL want him to drop the title and put Reigns over huge. Lesnar will want to do that even less. This is a very bad situation WWE has found themselves in. Five years ago, Lesnar probably would have gone out there and jobbed to Sin Cara. WWE’s treatment of Lesnar has done nothing but grown Lesnar’s ego to Hogan type proportions where Lesnar will only do business with who he wants and will only sell as much as he wants.
