“They try to keep US down and away from the top spots, but they can’t ignore the reactions forever. Keep voicing your opinions. #YESMovement”

So then the PG era is the problem lol.

  • Kristopher Robinson

    100% agree.

Obviously you missed my point lol. My point was, bc back in the attitude era, WE as fans made the stars, despite what the WWE wanted and B what I ment by the PG thing was bc there’s starting to be less and less of 10 year old kids at tv events now. I agree we don’t need the “attitude era”, which I’ve said thousands of times on here, we just need the attitude era “wrestlers”; not the actual wrestlers, but the type of guys that build themselves and not wait for somebody to tell them what to do.

I agree that E needs to push other stars rather than Cena, Orton, and Batista, but let’s not forget that it was Punk that held the title for well over a year not that long ago. They pushed him through the roof. DB is being used as the little man that everyone WANTS to root for. They are playing him up to be the everyman that people can sympathize with. If you think he’s not getting a push or not getting proper attention, then what exactly have you been watching? They are playing the entire IWC while creating a wrestler who is more over than perhaps anyone in modern history. You keep watching, hoping that he gets his shot. They keep taking away his shot to keep you watching in hopes that he finally gets it. So, let’s say he finally gets his shot as a face (since he held it as a heel for a while and everyone hated him) and he holds the belt for a long time. Will everyone keep rooting for him or will they say he’s grown stale and bash him like they do Cena, Orton, and Batista? I think E is smart for holding the title away from him for as long as possible. Once he gets it and keeps it, the thrill in rooting for him will be gone and the IWC will be bitching again. The same thing happened with Punk not so long ago…

I agree. PG has nothing to do with the quality of the product, creative is the problem with their mentality that is still stuck in the 1980s. Batista was never that over in the first place, yet here we are again with him being pushed like he is some returning hero.
Bryan has done what guys like Austin, Rock and Jericho did, and gotten himself over. He didnt need WWE pushing him down peoples throats.

“but they can’t ignore the reactions forever”

Sure they can, people keep buying crap so that’s what they provide.

PG ratings and not having silly “Attitude Era” bra and panties matches and “shock tv” type storylines is NOT the problem. WWE continuing to push the same boring wrestlers (Cena, Orton, now Batista) down fans’ throats for the last 10 years, in spite of newer stars like Punk and Bryan obviously being way over, THAT is the problem.

The Cena era is finally coming to a down hill slop. I was seriously SHOCKED at how that crowd reaction got behind DB, this is really picking up and I’ll be glad when WWE gets forced to be going away from the heavy PG era. If the crowds continue like this, RAW and Smackdown will be nothing but booing lol.
