Calling All Writers: Wrestling-Edge is looking for new opinion/feature posters

Wrestling-Edge.com has a number of vacancies for opinion writers on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and would welcome applications from passionate fans who would like a platform to air their work to thousands of wrestling fans. Below are more details and if you’re interested in applying, please email amish@wrestling-edge.com with a writing sample and why you would like the position.

Opinion articles could range from Top 10s to writing pieces on current ‘hot topics’ in the world of wrestling, some examples below of the type of content we would be expecting:

Top Five Hell in a Cell Matches

Nick’s Quick Wits-Bryan’s Story: An Unfortunate Success

         Top Ten Attitude Era Moments

These positions are currently voluntary (this may change in future) and as we said, this is a really great chance to showcase your work to a big audience and have your work featured not only on the website, but our social media platforms also.

Your content must also be unique and exclusive to Wrestling-Edge.com.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing some great work!

I honestly thought about it, but then saw it the same way CC is describing it. So I changed my mind.

The thing is, the bits this is asking for people to write, is the bits most of us do not read.
It is the opinion and puff pieces, not the news articles.

Personally I am not of the opinion that top 10 articles are worthwhile as they are just one persons opinion. I mean, does anyone on here care who I think are the best wrestlers ever or my favourite matches?

I just have a suggestion. Can WE stop using click bait tactics. For example the week after both Neville and Nia Jax walked out. And W/E using a promo picture featuring Neville and Nia Jax signing autographs with the caption “RAW star returns”. Only to click and find out it’s only Nia not Neville. This is just one of hundreds of examples that had me stop checking the site for a while.

I wonder if any of the people who complain about articles the most will sign up to show everyone how they think it should be done.
