WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella was subject to some comments by a fan recently on Twitter about her pay in the WWE.
A fan claimed that Carmella only makes $125,000 per year, which is one of the lowest figures for a wrestler in the company.
“She’s not rich, she only makes 120k a year,” wrote the fan. “One of the lowest on the payroll. I’m sure she makes a little more as champ, but she’s still pretty low.”
The Princess of Staten Island gave a simple response to the fan, stating, “Bahahaha.. aw .. Joe, if you only knew.” The SmackDown Women’s Champ indicated wryly that her pay with the WWE is more than everyone thinks.
The tweet by the fan has been deleted now, but the conversation went something like this:
