Championship changes hands on Raw’s 25th anniversary

On the 25th Anniversary of Raw, Roman Reigns defended his Intercontinental title against the Miz. The former seven-time champion made it his goal upon returning to Monday nights to reclaim the gold he carried through 2017.

The challenger started his night off in a way only he can; interrupting Daniel Bryan’s standing ovation and yes chants. The Miz came down to the ring with the Miztourage, who would be vital in his match against Reigns.

While Roman was Miz’s lackeys down outside of the ring, the Miz took off one of the middle turnbuckle pads, which would lead to the downfall of the Big Dog.

After an entertaining back and forth match, Roman Reigns went to hit the spear on the #1 contender. However, the Awesome One was able to dodge Reigns, who crashed into the exposed turnbuckle. The Miz would capitalize with a Skull Crushing Finale, picking up the win and his 8th Intercontinental title.

The Most Must See Superstar in WWE is now the holder of the second most IC title reigns, only behind Chris Jericho, who sits at the top with nine.
