Charlotte on Becky Lynch Being Her ‘Sting’, Wanting to Headline a PPV

WWE Women’s competitor and former WWE RAW Women’s champ Charlotte recently sat down for an interview with Sports Illustrated. You can check out some highlights here:

On Becky Lynch:

“Becky is my Sting. She is a white meat, pure babyface. There is no gray area. She’s my size, she’s hard-hitting, and we’re best friends.”

On her goal in WWE:

“I want to headline a pay per view, and I want it to be the fatal four-way with the Four Horsewomen. The last time I cried was watching the Women’s Revolution on WWE Network a couple of weeks ago when they asked Bayley if she felt left out of WrestleMania [32], and she said, ‘No, I felt a part of it, because even though it was the three of them [Sasha Banks, Lynch, and Charlotte] there, it took the four of us to get to where we are.”

I think everyones going abit cookoo over what was supposed to be a bit of fun, and props to Bayley. Sting-Flair, Bret-Shawn, Batman-Joker, Luke-Vader…
Charlotte will be the heel (Bad guy, Dark Side) & Bayley will be the face (Hero, Jedi)
She wasn’t saying they were or as good as Sting-Flair, just she sees herself as the heel and Bayley as the face counter part.

Two sides of the same coin!!!

Either way, the comparisons should stop… both women are still technically rookies that haven’t been in the ring for more than 5 years.

Its not a comparison of hall of fame calibre.
Charlotte is natually compared to Ric, whose biggest rival was super face sting. Her biggest rival is uber face bayley. Simple analigy(?) not comparison of talent

Or maybe these girls should just shut up and put in a few more years (or decades) of work before they start talking about Hall of Fame comparisons. It’s just silly.

Or maybe Bayley is Sting to her Ric Flair…

  • MrDr3w

Maybe she was comparing her to Sting, the singer, instead of Sting, the 30-year wrestling icon. Still, even that would be a stretch.

For a moment there I could have sworn “Sting” was presented as actual STING. It’s not cool that this could come off as a pseudonym for the ICON, instead of a “euphemism” for puny piece of trash.
