Lexi Alexander, an Academy Award nominated german Director, has taken on the responsibility of directing the ‘Crossface’ Chris Benoit biopic Variety has confirmed.
Alexander’s work in “Johnny Flynton” landed her an Acadamy Award nomination, while she has also directed “Punisher: War Zone”, “Green Street Hooligans”, and TV episodes of shows such as “Limitless,” “Supergirl,” and “Arrow.”
She had this to say regarding taking on the role with ‘Crossface’ :
“I was pretty certain I’d stay in TV rather than returning to the feature world, because the material just seems so much better in TV, especially in drama, but then ‘Crossface’ came my way. A heartbreaking, true story about the dark side of wrestling. … I couldn’t say no to that.”
