Chris Jericho makes surprise NJPW return

After telling us for months that he is finished with NJPW, Chris Jericho is back in the company.

At NJPW’s Wrestling Dontaku Night Two yesterday, Tetsuya Naito was at ringside after Los Ingobernables de Japon won a ten man tag team match over Suzuki-gun.

During the victory celebration, a mysterious masked man came out in LIJ gear, jumped the rail and attacked Naito. In the struggle, both men returned to the ring.

While in the ring, the mask was removed and it turned out to be none other than the former World Champion Chris Jericho, who then hit a codebreaker.

This was the follow up from his previous attack on Tetsuya earlier this year at New Year Bash after his instant classic with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

Though Jericho wasn’t done just there, as he got into the timekeeper’s area, brought the ring bell and cracked the Japanese Star’s head open with the help of it, before finally leaving.

Now it’d be interesting to see when these two finally meet for a match.
