Chris Jericho talks about his removal from WWE’s website and video package

Chris Jericho shocked the wrestling world when he signed with All Elite Wrestling recently. WWE reacted to his signing and removed him from their opening video package. They also moved him to the alumni page of their website.

Jericho talked about his AEW signing on Talk Is Jericho, and revealed that he understood why WWE decided to remove him. He said that there was a lot of talks about him when he was moved to the alumni page on the WWE website and he understood that. He signed a three-year exclusive contract with AEW barring working with NJPW, which he has yet to figure out.

“I get that. It doesn’t bother me at all it’s the way it should be. Once again, we can all hold our heads up high and we did things the way it should be. No ill feelings, no ill will. No talking sh*t behind each other’s back. That might happen but not on my end.”

“I love the WWE. I respect the WWE. They go through ups and downs creatively and stylistic-wise. We don’t want to beat WWE that’s not the mindset. The mindset is to provide an option, an alternative to wrestling fans. Something you haven’t seen before and haven’t seen in a while.”

It’s great that Jericho understands the situation and is not fazed by WWE removing him. He has been around in the wrestling business long enough to understand why they did that. Regardless, it’s certain that when AEW eventually debuts on television, Jericho will be featured in the opening video package.
