CM Punk Discusses Feud with Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes Talks WrestleMania

– WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes spoke with The LA Times this week and had the following to say about his favorite past WrestleMania moment:

“I’m going to pick a moment that I know nobody else would pick: ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage’s retirement match vs. the Ultimate Warrior. It wasn’t the match that was great, but Macho Man’s reuniting with Miss Elizabeth afterward. It was such a great moment and people in the stands were actually crying.”

– WWE’s YouTube page features an interview with CM Punk and Matt Striker after the WrestleMania 28 press conference. Punk had the following to say about his feud with Chris Jericho:

“I don’t think it’s a secret, Matt. I’m a little bit of a hot head. Chris Jericho has gotten under my skin. I think it’s the first time the WWE Universe has seen me in this position. Normally, I’m care-free and joking. Nobody can really get to me. Chris Jericho’s gotten to me but the thing is that it’s going to back-fire.

You see, I have a huge chip on my shoulder. I also have a huge title on my shoulder. Chris Jericho’s coming for it. That’s the the thing; when you’re the champion, you have a huge target on you. Chris Jericho’s coming for me, I’m waiting for him. I’m going to ball up my fists, I’m going to punch Chris Jericho in the face, wrap him up in the Anaconda Vice and I’m going to take his mom home with me.”
