The promoter of 5-star Wrestling Promotion Daniel Hinkles is offering former WWE Champion CM Punk $1 Million to return to ring during their upcoming 128-man tournament beginning on June 10th in Liverpool.
Hinkles has apparently been trying to reach Punk from well over a year and have been wanting Punk since 2015. Here is what he says:
“We’ve been trying to contact CM Punk on and off for well over a year. We wanted him on the first show we did in Edinburgh in 2015. I’ve tried going through friends in the industry, I’ve gone through his website and sent dozens of emails but the opportunity has never been this big. We want to offer CM Punk $1 million dollars (£770,000) to come and join the 5 Star Wrestling tour starting June 10th. It’s a genuine offer. We’d love to hear back from the man himself. We want to do this with him.”
CM Punk has been away from wrestling since 2014 and it has been reported multiple times that he is in a good financial condition, so it’s highly unlikely that he will return to wrestling just for the money.
Though it would be interesting to see what reply of the former WWE Champion gives to this offer from Daniel, or if he replies at all.
