- For those wondering, CM Punk is still receiving his cut of merchandise sales from World Wrestling Entertainment. This follows up a recent report that WWE was selling CM Punk merchandise during WrestleMania Axxess. While he was active, Punk was the number two merchandiser mover in the company behind John Cena, and is still ranking in the top five and possibly as high as third.

The move could signify a change in tact by WWE after Steve Austin revealed on his podcast he never received a cut of any merchandise sales after his walkout from WWE in 2002.

Yea, but there was more to his reasoning than that…..

  • Tyler(:

Are you dumb? You’re point of disagreement with me is “I’m scared of CM Punk”.

Just go worship your Best in the World, who walked out on working for you guys, his fans.

The sad part is that I HAVE to, because it’s true. It’s become stale to HAVE to say it and the ACT of people that are the reasons why I have to say it is truly what is getting “stale.” However common sense in this day and age is as stale as week old bread.

  • D2K

Like I said, “Austin does.” So he disagrees with you, as do I. He said so on his podcast. That’s fine. We are all entitled to opinions

  • abhishek

Austin walked out coz he ws planned to lose to brock lesnar…

  • Kristopher Robinson

Everybody “relates” to Punk in someway or form. Austin’s reasoning for quitting was a completely different story and situation. Punk walked for years of neglect and lack of appreciation from WWE. Austin’s case was more of being burnt out and medical reasons. You can say they “relate” because of being burnt out and medical reasons, but Austin did way more outside of the business than Punk ever has, and no one can say that Austin didn’t work just as hard in that ring as Punk. And Medically wise, Austin was ALOT more best up than Punk is or probably ever will. So like I said, “you can’t compare the two.”

you use this line quite often… act is getting a little stale.
    It’s all a work.

  • D2K

That’s a good point. As long as him merchandise is for sale he would have to get a cut whether he’s coming back or not. They could opt to not sell anymore CM Punk merchandise, but then they would take the hit of having all that inventory. So they are still making money off of him even though he is not there.

  • D2K

Apparently more than you since you can’t use proper punctuation. Oh no. Someone is calling me names on a message board. Whatever-will-I-do?

Thanks for letting us know just how sad your personal life is. We will keep such information on file for future conversations. As Samuel Clemens once said.

“Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience.”

In case you don’t understand, that means our conversation is over, such as any hope of future failed attempts at entertaining yourself.

  • DippyDooDoo

funny how much you know about the human mind.

    smdh

punk is a bitch… like you

  • CC

Would probably depend on the type of deal Punk had vs Austin. Business has changed a lot over the years when it comes to merchandise, and as CM Punk came into WWE with the name CM Punk where as Austin only adopted the Stone Cold name while with WWE, there may be vastly different legal reasons why Punk still gets a cut.

  • D2K

    Austin does….

  • Kristopher Robinson

I don’t think you can compare the two.

  • D2K

Says the guy that would lose his stool if CM Punk tapped him on the shoulder when he was tying that.

You gotta love these people who talk all this yakkity-yak about CM Punk knowing full-well they would never say it to his face.

  • Robbie Murphy

well then so is Stone Cold Steve

  • Tyler(:

CM Punk’s a bitch, a crybaby and a sadact walks out on his contract cos he doesn’t get his own way. even people with more sour-seeming personalities such as Alberto Del Rio don’t walk out when they’re not getting what they want.

    Punk’s a punk. a bitch.

  • Solid

Well he’s still on contract for a while apparently so either they’re fulfilling their obligations to him or they’re doing something that’ll make him happy or more amenable to a return at some point.
