Rumours of CM Punk returning to ring are false

We noted before how the promoter of 5 Star wrestling Daniel Hinkles offered $1 million to former WWE Champion Cm Punk to return to the ring for their upcoming 128 men tournament.

After this, a tweet surfaced on the internet yesterday stating that Punk has been officially confirmed for the promotion’s upcoming event. This news spread like wildfire and people believed it as the account which made the tweet was named Daniel Hinkles:

Though this news is not true and the official Facebook page of 5-star wrestling has confirmed that both the account and the announcement made through it were fake:

It’s worth noticing that this is not the first rumour of Punk returning to wrestling which has been spread this week. Just a day ago, someone edited a photo of the former WWE Star and spread it stating that he was present in the audience for NXT Takeover: Chicago and might be returning to WWE soon.

Although we should note that the UFC fighter has not replied to the offer made by Hinkles as of yet, so while they are very slim, chances are that Punk might just agree for this return considering his MMA career didn’t start the way he must have thought and he lost his first fight within a matter of minutes.
